Who are we?
The wine club was started in the early 1990s at an impromptu wine
promotion and wine tasting that was held in a bottle shop in Main North Rd
Papanui.
The
shop is no longer in the
Main North Road
but this group of people have remained in contact over the years. As time
pasted a club was formed, all in the interest of informally enjoying wine
in a very social environment.Over the years new members have joined us and
we are of a mixed age group of young and older members.Regular meetings
have been held, at various locations in the in the Papanui area, on a
regular basis every second Tuesday night.
Now we meet at the Papanui RSA.Over
the years the members have faithfully attended the various wine festivals
held in the
Canterbury
area, organized dinner outings, trips away and other social activities for
the members, fiends and guests to enjoy.
The thing to remember is that we are
very informal.
