there were 60,000 men
who served under the CMT in the 50`s and later in the 60`s
20,000 men served under the National Service scheme Enquiries to
the Secretary CMT
The cost of
becoming a member is a yearly subscription of $10 from June-May
Subscriptions are now due for the year 2012/2013

PERSONAL IN RSA CLUBROOMS
A
CMT Assocciation has been formed in Christchurch since 2006 we
extend the hand out to all ex CMT/NS or Spouse/Partner in the
Christchurch area.
Any ex CMT/NS visitors come and join us every Thursday night 4.30
onwards at the Papanui RSA, 55 Bellvue Avenue. Any enquiries contact
the Secretary see below for details.

UPCOMING FUNCTIONS TO PUT IN YOUR DIARY
NZ Fire service
The next
function is on the Friday 17th May 2pm at the
Papanui RSA (Charles Upham Room) The Fire Service is coming
along to give a talk on fire safety, safety in the home, and
a slide show on the different aspects of the Fire Service.
At our age we need to be aware of problem’s we face so this
is an opportunity for us to keep up to date.
9th AGM
Will be
held on Sunday the 30th June, Papanui RSA, 55
Bellvue Avenue, 10am start
Have a Shot
The Papanui RSA has invited the CMT to have a shoot at the
Black Powder range, McLeans Island. The cost will be
approximately $25 each. The date is yet to be advised but if
you are interested give Len a ring 981-7623.
ARE YOU INTERESTED
At the
reunion held in Nelson 2011 it was decided to have a reunion
in two years time.
John
Mudgway and John Hannan took it upon themselves to arrange
one in Wellington.
Dates are
3rd May – 5th May 2014.
They are
looking at holding it at the Ex/Wing in Parliament, and it
is handy to accommodation etc.
If you are
interested in going I can pass your details onto John. I
know you will think that is over a year away we will decide
closer to the time, but as you all know to organize an event
it takes time and lot of energy, and of course if there is
no response from you the members and the rest of New Zealand
well I guess the event won’t be held. Give Alison 9817623
and show your interest.
